How We Grow

At Maple Leaf Farm we grow the best food we can imagine!

Absolutely 0 unnatural chemicals. No toxic stuff. Ever. Our produce is grown without chemical pesticides or herbicides and only organically approved sprays are utilized on our farm.  We use all natural compost and fertilizers.  Our chickens are fed organically grown foods and are completely free range accessing over 3 acres of pasture daily.

As fresh as it can get! When you order from us, we walk outside, pick your tomatoes off the vine, or your broccoli or your lettuce and have your food ready for pickup when you arrive.  No shipping.  No unnecessary packaging.

Safe labor practices! We are a small family run and family staffed farm.  We love and enjoy all the farm assistance we receive from our four dogs, 2 cats, 100 chickens,6 guinea fowl, pygmy goats, alpacas, and horses, all of which provide us with useable products, laughable moments and a happy farm environment.

Ever wonder where the stuff you eat now comes from?

If you buy the regular vegetables, fruits, and eggs at the super market, you can assume with 99% certainty that they come from genetically modified seeds and hens.  They've been sprayed with a giant dose of everything but the kitchen sink and pumped full of antibiotics.  After being coated in protective varnishes and packaged in plastic containers - all of which will only be utilized once and then pile up in a land fill - they are shipped hundreds or thousands of miles to the chain grocery store. Let's just say, this is not what we'd like to picture when we think of making a "healthy" meal out of "fresh" ingredients!

Maybe you buy organic products. Although organic-certified food is certainly better for the environment, factory farms paying extremely low wages in far - off places produce most of the organic produce and eggs available in the super market today.

The good news is that if you don't have time to grow your own food in your own backyard, you can still buy it from a neighbor who does!
